Okay, I get it. It is a little odd using an allusion to a non-Catholic work of fiction as the headline for this brief note. Point taken. That said, that allusion hints fairly effectively at the governing conviction that undergirds this project: Any safe way forward through the Church's present crisis must look to the perennial teaching of the Catholic Church both for its content and its methods.
The items which will be presented in this section of the project will seek to identify and cogently present those Catholic principles which ought to govern our efforts to understand and to respond to the current, more than half century long crisis in which Catholics find themselves embroiled.
